Do I need a certain GPA?

There is no minimum GPA requirement. The Foundation considers the whole applicant, including character, perseverance, service, leadership, and alignment with Daisy Mae Marshall's values.

How many scholarships are awarded?

Two scholarship recognitions will be awarded annually: Daisy Mae Marshall Legacy Scholar and Daisy Mae Marshall Rising Legacy Scholar. 

Scholarship amounts and awards may vary based on available funding and Foundation discretion.

How can I apply for the Daisy Mae Marshall Legacy Book Scholarship?

Applications are accepted annually through our online portal. Please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria and submit all required documentation, including personal statements and academic transcripts, before the spring deadline.

Who is eligible for the foundation's scholarship program?

The scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who reside in the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, or San Fernando Valley and plan to pursue higher education, vocational training, or career certification opportunities.

What materials are required?

Applicants must complete the scholarship application and submit all required essays, supporting information, and any requested documentation before the application deadline.

Is community service required?

Community service is strongly encouraged and should be reflected in the application. Applicants should describe how they have served their school, church, family, or community.

What is the application deadline?

Applications must be submitted by July 31, 2026. Late or incomplete applications may not be considered.

How are recipients selected?

Applications are reviewed by the Foundation's Scholarship Review Committee based on demonstrated values, personal essays, community involvement, leadership potential, and overall application quality.

When will recipients be notified?

Selected recipients will be contacted directly by the Foundation. Scholarship announcements are expected during August 2026.
